“Holding a Dog” at Events

Because some fosters have multiple dogs, we use volunteers to hold dogs at Meet and Greet events, boosting the dogs’ socialization and exposure with potential adopters. We also need help monitoring puppy pens and interacting with potential adopters.

Transportation

Volunteers help drive foster dogs to vet appointments, to Meet & Greet events, to other volunteers’ homes, or to their forever homes.

Join one of our talented teams

  • bathe and groom foster dogs
  • organize fundraisers
  • share HAL news using social media
  • manage and distribute food and supplies
  • take photos at events or at our Home at Last photo studio in Lansdale
  • handle administrative tasks such as writing dog bios, uploading documents to our database, and calling references
  • or maybe you have a unique idea or talent - we’re always open to fresh ideas!
