Meet Tango, a 2-3 year old Basset Hound mix with the most heartbreaking story. He had demodex mange and rather than taking him to the vet for oral medication to resolve, his previous owner tried dumping burnt motor oil on him. Motor oil is thought to be a home remedy for this condition. But it left Tango in rough condition and dumped at a shelter down south with risk of being put to sleep. Luckily, HAL stepped in through his foster parents who volunteered to give him a safe home and continue to treat his condition. Tango is expected to make a full recovery and go on to live a normal life after this harrowing experience. Tango gets along well with other dogs, loves people of all sizes, including kids, and he is cat friendly! He really wants nothing more than a family to tango with for years to come! His adoption fee is $400.
