I'm ready for my new family!

Meet Blue/Dean! He is a 60-ish pound, one and a half year old Shepherd mix who loves scratches and toys. He is gentle, sweet and goofy. His shepherd ears flop at the top, especially when he runs and plays. He is a medium energy dog who is very good at keeping himself occupied with toys. He loves a game of fetch. He has mastered stairs, and has a cute waddle (and sometimes frog hop) when he goes up and down. He is excited to meet new people and settles easily into new environments. He is very comfortable in his crate: he sleeps quietly in there through the night, and also uses it as a safe space when noises like garbage trucks and street cleaners startle him. He is getting better every day on a leash, but does pull if he is near home or startled. He takes treats nicely and has been quick to pick up basic commands. He is also housetrained. He loves to lean in for scratches and will let you know with a paw or a nuzzle that it's time to put the phone or computer down and give him attention. He'd probably enjoy another similar-energy dog in the house to play with while the humans work but also seems just fine on his own. Dean is a pretty quiet guy, but will gently bark at people or dogs that walk by the house. He has been kind to children and adults he has interacted with.  Adoption fee is $450.
