Senior Female Pekingese/Chihuahua mix

Hi! I’m Ashleigh, a Pekingese mix who absolutely loves lying on the back of the sofa or next to my human and playing with other small dog siblings. I was rescued along with my siblings – Kimmie and Brittany- after we were taken to the Philly shelter when our human mommy’s medical condition got too bad to take care of us. I'm estimated to be about 8 to 10 years old and still have pep in my step - just check out the video where I’m playing with my foster sister on Petfinder at: I leave the kitties alone when my human tells me to and I am house trained and sleep in a crate at night.

I would love to be adopted with Kimmie and Brittany, but understand if that doesn’t work out and can be adopted without them. Since I’ve had a tough life, I would be better off in a family with older children or no children and would prefer a fenced in yard – I love to run around freely. I would also love to have a human who is around most of the day with us like our last Mommy. I think I would be a wonderful companion for a human senior! Do you think you can make your home my home?

Ever think about fostering a dog in need? Home At Last Dog Rescue needs fosters! We need volunteers to foster dogs in their homes until permanent homes are found. HAL provides vet care, food, toys. crates, etc. for the dog you are caring for. You provide love, and compassion. If you can’t foster but can help watch a dog overnight here and there, help with transports or events, HAL needs volunteers too! Just email for more information on how you can make a difference in a homeless pets life!
