Senior Female Chihuahua

Winter is a 7-year-old Chihuahua, who was severely neglected for most of her life. She was dumped at Philadelphia ACCT by her owner along with her canine sibling, Vic. Winter and Vic were being prepared to be euthanized when Home At Last saved them. As a result, Winter was initially very scared. Home at Last had her teeth taken care of, fixed her broken jaw, had her spayed and treated her for a severe flea allergy and skin infection. She has learned that there are loving, caring people in the world and has blossomed into an affectionate little dog. She enjoys being with her people most, and pretty much ignores the other dogs in the home. Winter does a little dance on her back legs when waiting for her food or begging to be picked up. Winter initially went after the cats in the home, so we are working on acclimating her to them. At this point, she would be best without cats or young children in the home. Winter is in the final stages of house training.
