Young Female Australian Shepherd

Bella is a 13-month-old female Australian Shepherd mix, spayed, and up to date on shots. She was rescued from euthanization and abusive men. Since being in a safe and loving environment for over 4 months, she has been able to overcome some repercussions of her abuse. She continues to progress with loving attention

She's crate trained, learns commands very quickly, and is obedient when boundaries are laid out. When walking, if excited, she has a tendency to pull but responds to readjustment.

Bella is a very loving, friendly companion and great with both women and children. She's calm most of the time, loves to sleep, and only really barks when her fear of men is triggered. Her athleticism makes for a great workout partner. Initially she gets excited with other dogs and because of her strength, plays better with dogs her size or bigger.

She has a somewhat sensitive digestive system and does better with a limited ingredient dog food (Zignature Duck). She also loves carrots and apples. She's not possessive whatsoever over food, treats, toys, etc.

She has the calming disposition of a therapy dog with the ability to comfort. Bella is eager to please, loves to cuddle, and thrives in a calm, loving environment with an active, yet patient dog lover who is able to provide her with an understanding support system.
